Kiyoshi Sey Takeyama + Amorphe

Discontinuous City

'89 Sep.5-Oct.4

The work of Kiyoshi Sey Takeyama and his colleagues depicts the chaos of the contemporary city. The indoor exhibition features an almost amorphous collection of different works. Models and other various objects are scattered along a large display base that cuts diagonally across the exhibition space, revealing the vitality of their high-energy architecture. The walls are covered with skillful collages of the city and architecture, complete with a manifesto urging people to come and live in the city they have constructed. Symbolic objects are placed in the garden, making for a highly ambitious and suggestive exhibition.
