Daniel Libeskind


Daniel Libeskind was born in Poland in 1946 and naturalized as a United States citizen in 1956. he completed his graduate studies of art history and architectural theiry at Essex University in England in 1972 after having studied architecture at Cooper Union in New York and music in Island. He served as the head of the architecture department at Clanbrook Academy of Art from 1978 to 1985, while also teaching as a visiting professor all over the world. This experience earned him a number of fellowships, including the Fulbright Senior Researcher Fellowship, and the first ever research fellowship in architecture granted by the J. Paul Getty Foundation.
