Reasons for Importance and Initiatives

*The scope of our company includes all departments and offices of TOTO and Group companies.
"Procurement" includes primary suppliers.
Materiality Reasons for Importance and Initiatives Scope
Procurement Our Company Distribution Product Usage Society
Water resource conservation Depletion of water resources due to climate change coupled with the increasing demand for water that accompanies population increase and economic growth and associated regulations, demand that we address water resource limitations in our business activities.
TOTO Group considers water resource limitations important not only as a risk of a water supply crisis, but also as an opportunity to provide and promote widespread adoption of water conservation products globally.
We promote reduced use of water in production activities and widespread use of water conservation products.
Preventing Global Warming Global warming caused by climate change and associated regulations must be addressed in business activity that deals with global warming issues.
TOTO Group considers the global warming issue important not only as a risk of energy supply crisis, increase in cost and risk of CO2 emissions regulation, but also as an important opportunity to expand business by providing and promoting widespread adoption of water conservation and energy-saving products globally.
We are accelerating reduced use of energy in production, distribution and sales activities as well as widespread use of water conservation and energy-saving products.
Contribution to Local Communities The TOTO Group has been working to improve public hygiene and help develop everyday life culture ever since it was founded. We have gained the trust of society to expand our business, and today run our businesses on a global scale. We will believe that two of the keys and requirements to expanding business is to address environmental, hygienic, and other issues faced by Japan and all the other countries and areas in which we do business, and to contribute to the development of local communities.
